AN EMERGEN~'Y ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.68.110
(EMPLOYEE 6~ASSIFICATION) BY ADDING THE POSITIONS
OF HEAD CONCESSION CLERK AND HOUSE ELECTRICIAN.
WHEREAS, the Civic Auditorium under construction is
proposed to be accepted for use on the 19th of November, 1962, and
WflEREAS, there is scheduled in said Civic Auditorium on
the 20th of November, 1962, a performance known as the Ice Capades,
and
WHEREAS, for the operation of said Civic Auditorium it
is necessary to provide for a Head Concession Clerk and a House
Electrician, and
WHEREAS, the time element creates an emer§ency situation
for the operation of the Civic Auditorium, and
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that an emer§ency
ordinance may be enacted where the purpose is to provide for the
daily operation of a Municipal Department of the City of Bakers-
field,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1
That Section 3.68.110 (Employee Classification) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby
amended by addin§ the following classifications:
Schedule No. Classification
2.3 Head Concession Clerk
............ 30 ...... House Electrician
SECTION 2
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City
of Bakersfield, State of California, and necessary to provide for
the daily operation of municipal departments, and shall be
effective on and after November 13, 1962.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance
was passed and adopted by the Counci~ of the City of Bakersfield
at a re§ular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of November,
1962, by the following vote:
