AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 (ZONING
MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF
THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
LOCATED ON THE NORTHEASTERLY CORNER OF DRACENA
AND OAK STREETS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co....,,ission and City .Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property located on the northeasterly corner of
Dracena and Oak Streets within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the reco~-,,,mndations of' the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that said zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.02~ (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from a C-1 (Limited
Commercial) Zone to a C-2-D (Con~uercial -- Architectural
Design) Zone of that certain property located on the
Northeasterly c.orner of Dracena an~ Oak Streets,
being more partzcularly described as the Southerly
235 feet of the Northerly 596.26 feet of Lot 4 and
the Southerly 20 feet of the Westerly 150 feet of
the Northerly 361.26 of Lot 4, Block "A" of Greene's
Tract, City of Bakersfield, as per map recorded
November 9, 1905 in Map Book 1, Page 97, in the
Office of the County Recorder, County of Kern,
State of California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of November, 1962, by
the fo llowing vote:
Council of the City of Bakersfield.
