AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 (ZONING
MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF
THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
LOCATED ON THE ENTIRE NORTH HALF OF BLOCK 448,
WHICH IS BOUNDED BY 21ST STREET ON THE NORTH, "C"
STREET ON THE WEST, "D" STREET ON THE EAST AND THE
ALLEY OF BLOCK 448 ON THE SOUTH.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co ..... ission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property located on the entire north half of
Block 448, which is bounded by 21st Street on the North, "C" Street
on the west, '~)" Street on the east and the alley of Block 448 on
the south within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the
Planning Co~ission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that said zoning change should be authurized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and m~d~.a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3 (Limited Multiple-
Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-4 (Multiple-Family Dwelling)
Zone of that certain property located on the entire north half
of Block 448, which is bounded by 21st Street on the North,
"C" Street on the West, "D" Street on the East and the alley
of Block 448 on the South, being more particularly described
as Lots i through 10, Block 448, Northern Division of the City
of Bakersfield as per map recorded November 25, 1898, Map
Book 1, Pages 13 and 14, in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of January, 1963, by
the following vote:
