AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING 6/4APTER 4.08 (ABSENTEE
BALLOTS) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that Section 4.08.010 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield be ~m-nded to read as follows:
4.08.010 Absentee ballots to be returned as prescribed
by Elections Code. All ballots cast as prescribed in the Elections
Code of the State of California re~ulatin§ absent votin§ and
pursuant to the Charter of the City of Bakersfield re§ulating
nominating and general elections, shall be received by the Clerk
of the City of Bakersfield, from whom they were received, w~thin
the time prescribed by the Elections Code of the State of
California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of January, 1963,
by the following vote:
