AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE' CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
NORTHERLY OF RICHLAND STREET AND BETWEEN
SOUTH "H:' STREET AND SOUTH CHESTER AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Co ...... ission to
change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City
of Bakersfield located Northerly of Richland Street and between
· South "H" Street and South Chester Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said motion and the recommendations of the
Planning .Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that said zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing. the zoning boundaries f.rom an R-2 (Two Family
Dwelling) Zone to a C-2 (Commercxal) Zone those certain
properties more particularly described as follows: that
certain parcel comprising .Lots 11 through 18, inclusive,
in Block A, Virginia Tract, as per ~_n_p recor, ded January
25, 1923 in Map Book 3, Page 70, in the Offxce of the
Recorder, County of Kern, State of California.
Chan.ging the zoning boundaries fro~. a C-1 (Limited C. om-
merc~al) Zone to a C-2 (Commercial) Zone thosecerta~n
properties described as follows: that certain parcel coin-
prising Lots 19 and 20, in Block A, Virginia Tract, as per
map recorded January 25, 1923 in Map Book 3, Page 70,
in the Office of the Recorder, County of Kern, State of
California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of April, 1963, by
the following vote:
