HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1480 ORDINANCE NO. 1480 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now being annexed to said City, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the petition and the recommendation of the Planning CoJ ..... ission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain property in a C-2 (Co~,~,,~rcial) Zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as fo llows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of Section 24, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M.D.M.: Be'g~'nnin'~--at the most northwesterly corner of Tract No. 1387, as per map recorded March 26, 1948, in Book 6 of Maps at page 104 in the Office of the County Recorder of said Kern County, said corner being a point on the current corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield; thence westerly along the westerly prolongation of the north line of said Tract No. 1387, and along the said corporate boundary on a bearing, of N.89°44'15'~. (N.89° 59'45"E. record per map of Tract 1387) a distance of 1154.753 feet; thence N. 19°04'40"E. 917.898 feet; thence N. 55050'50'' E. 591.960 feet ~0 the southwesterly right of way line of U. S. Highway 99, as shown on sheet 7 of the highway construction plans for District VI, Kef Route 4, Section G, approved by the District Engineer March 17, 1947, thence southeasterly along said south- westerly right of way line the following '6 courses to intersect the current corporate boundary: thence S. 47°16' E. 714.56 feet; thence S. 14°45' W. 187.53. feet; So 63°30'22"E. 356.51 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the southwest, having a radius of 472 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 15~00'00'', a distance of 123.57 feet to a point of tangency; thence S~ 48° 30'22" E. 468.76 feet; thence S. 47~06'22'' E.~]29 feet, more or less to intersect the said current corporate boundary; thence westerly along said corporate boundary to the point of beginning, containing 31.02 acres of land, more or less. SECTION 2. That .Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain property in an R-1 (Single-Family Dwelling) Zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: Starting at the most northwesterly corner of Tract No. 1387, as per map filed March 26, 1948, in Map Book 6, Pages 104 to 111, in the Office of the Recorder, County of Kern, State of California - the same being a point on the current Northern boundary line of the City of Bakersfield; thence westerly along said boundary line a distance of 515 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning; thence continuing along said boundary line a distance of 600 feet, more or less; thence northeasterly along the western boundary of re-aligned Stine Canal at a bearing of S 19~04'40'' West a distance of 333 feet, more or less; thence easterly and parallel to the current City Boundary a distance of 580 feet, more or less; thence southeasterly 115 feet, more or less, to a point within the right-of-way of the PoG.&E. Tower Easement; thence southwesterly a distance of 295 feet, more or less to the true point of beginning. ° SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City of Bakers- field. 000' I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of May, 1963, by the following vote: Council of the City of Bakersfield.
