AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
AT THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE INTERSECTION OF
BEALE AVENUE AND FLOWER STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Plannin§ CoL,,,=ission and City Council have held
.hearin§s respectively, on a motion of the Plannin§ Co,,.,,ission to
change the land use zoning of those certain properties in the City
of Bakersfield located at the four corners of the intersection of
Beale Avenue and Flower Street, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has detei-,,,ined after due
consideration of said motion and the reco ...... endations of the
Planning Co ...... ission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that said zoning change should be authorized.
}iOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3 (Limited
Multiple-Family Dwellin~ Zone to a C-1 (Limited Com-
mercial) Zone of those certain properties located at the
...four .corners of the intersection of Beale. Avenue.. and
Flower Street, being more particularly described as
follows:
Lots 28 through 32, inclusive, of Block No. 35; Lots 17
through 22, inclusive, of Block No. 36; Lots 11 through
16, inclusive, of Block No. 37; Lots 1 through 5 of
Block 38, all parcels described above being within the
Bernard Addition Subdivision a~ per Map recorded March 17,
1902, in Map Book 1, Pa§e 8?, in the Office of the
Recorder of the County of Kern, State of California.
