AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 5.32. 220 (Police
permits--Inspection) and SECTION 5.32. 240,
subsection (i) (General terms and conditions)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD.
BE IT OBDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 5.32.220 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield is amended to read as follows:
5.32.220 Police permits--Inspection. Each rental of
the auditorium or a part or facility thereof~ shall not be con-
strued to cover all municipal permits or licenses~ including
police permits~ for the doing of any act within the auditorium and
solicitation of exhibitors to exhibit therein. However~ necessary
and proper inspection to comply with the ordinances shall be
performed by the applicable departments of the city at the request
of the Manager~ and any and all lessees shall comply with all
existing regulations. If any event requires a police permit
under any ordinance of the city~ such permit must be obtained by
the permittee.
SECTION 2.
That Section 5.32.240 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield is amended to read as follows:
5.32.240 General terms and conditions. (i) Every
permittee shall furnish or pay for such police and fire protection
as may be required by the Manager during the occupancy of such
permittee, and if any pei-~,-~ittee fails or refuses to furnish police
or fire protection satisfactory to the Manager~ the Manager may
furnish the same and charge the cost thereof to the permittee.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passaEe.
I HEBEBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of May, 1963, by
the fo llowing vote:
