PROVID~ FOR THE TAXATION OF SAID TERRITORY TO
PAY THE BONDED II~EBTKDNESS OF SAID CT_T~.

City of Bakersfield on the l$ch day of Hatch, 1963, requesting
chat cerCain tminhabiCed territory therein described be annexed
Co and incorporaCed w~Chin the City of Bakersfield, and

fourth of the land, by area, and by assessed value as shown on the
last equalized assessmenc roll of the County of Kern, and

of the ClOy of Bakersfield, and any and all ocher indebcedness or

respect vLth the provisions of Section 35319 of the GovermMnt
Code of the State of California, and
~tEREAS, the Council o£ the City of Bakersfield d~d, on
the 18th day of hreh, 1963, pass a Resolution being No. 20-63, in
complhnce with'the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, and amendments thereto, betn~ Title 4,
Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 1, Article 5 of the Governmnt Code of
the State of California, specifically deocrib]~s the boundaries
of the territory aa proposed to be --~exed to the City of Bakers-
field, and desi~nat~ng such territory by an appropriate name, and
setCLns Honday, the 29th day of April, 1963, at the hour of eight
oWclock P.M. in the Council Chauber8 of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, Californh, as the day, hour and
place when and where the City Council would hear protests made by
any Parson owninS real property within the aforesaid territory, and
bqIKRKAS, said Resolution was published at least twice,
but not oftener than once a week ~n The Bakersfield Californian,
a newspaper of general circulation published ~n the City of Bakers-
field, and also ~n The Oildale News, a newspaper of ~eneral
circulation published outside of the City of Bakersfield, but in
the county where said territory Is located, said publications
having been completed at least twenty days prior to the date set
for said hearing, in compliance with Seetiou 35311 of the
Governsmnt Code, and
bqIEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield has
caused uritten notice of such Proposed annexation to he given by
mil at least twenty days before the public hearing on said

NO~, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as
SECTION 1o
That ~ City Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby
approves ~he 8n,sexetion to and inclusion within the incorporated
l~ts of ~he City of Bakersfield, of that cartein uninhabited
territory desis~ated as '~dESIYJHESTER NO. 2"; and it is hereby
fur~J~er ordained that said territory be and the sA-- is hereby taxed
Co said City; ~hat said territory is described as' follows:
A parcel of land situate in ~he County of Kern, State of California,
and beins a portion of Sections 25 and 26, Township 29 South, Range
27 Bast, M.D.H:
Be~Lnning aZ ~he point of ~ntersection of the east line of Oak
Stweet, of 82°$ feet in w~dth, as said Oak Street is shown on the
of the City of Bakersfield" recorded November 25, 1898, in
1 of Maps at pa~es 13 and 14 in the office of the County
Recorder of said Kern. County and ~b~ northerly right of way line
of the State Hish~ay Distr~ct VI, Kef 58, Section L, said inter-
section being a point in the eurL~nt corporate boundary of
City of Bakersfield;
THENCE (1) N.73°25'20'~. , departing from ~he corporate boundary,
360.61 feet along the said northerly riKht of way line;
THENCE (2) N.32°ll'20"E., 283.48 feet;
THENCE (3) N.$2°01'10"E., 249.43 feet, more or less, to intersect
the said east lf~e of Oak Street, being a point on the
current corporate boundary;
THENCE (4) S..0°13'50'~., along the said corporate boundary, 496.30
rest to the point of beginning and containing 2.246 acres
of land more or less.
Said territory, and the property located therein, shall,
upon the completion of the annexation of the same to r~e City of

No. 1112, New Series, and in Ordinance No. 1229, New Ser~es, all
of said City, and any and all other indebtedness or liabiliCy of
the City outecandin~ or authorized on and after the date of
completion of said annexation.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day of April, 1963, by
the folloving vote:
