BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 3.68.100 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: PAY RANGES AND RATES. The basic compensation plan shall consist of the ranges hereinafter listed in this section. Such range shall include six steps of rates of pay. This ordinance shall not be applicable to the employees of the Transit Authority whose salary schedules and steps remain in effect as presently constituted. SECTION 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be required for ~-diate adoption within the meaning of Section 2.08. 140 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield. SECTION 5. IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall be retroactive to July 1, 1963. o0o 7.
