AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ALTERING THE BOUNDARIES OF
THE SEVENTH WARD OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFOKNIA,
WHEREAS, there is to be an election in the Seventh Ward
of the City of Bakersfield on the 16th day of July, 1963, and
WHEREAS, prior to this time certain annexations have not
been included by ordinance within said Ward, and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the form of the forth-
coming election,
NOW, THEKEFOKE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
The boundaries of the Seventh Ward of the City of
Bakersfield are hereby altered so as to include therein those
certain parcels of territory heretofore annexed to the City of
Bakersfield by ordinances of said City, which parcels of territory
bear the following designations and are specifically described in
the respective ordinances as follows: "BENTON PARK NO. ?," annexed
under Ordinance No. 1428, New Series; "CASTRO NO. 3," annexed
under Ordinance NO o 1465, New Series; and "SEARS NO. 1," annexed
under Ordinance No° 1473, New Series.
SECTION 2°
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City
of Bakersfield, State of California, said ordinance is necessary
to provide for the daily operation of a municipal function, and
shall be effective on and after July I , 1963.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoin§ Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of July, 1963, by the
following vote:
