AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIE~ BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN..
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF COLUMBUS EXTENSION
AND OSWELL STHEETo
WHEP, EAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~--,;ssion and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located at
the northwest corner of Columbus Extension and Oswell Street, and
WHE~S, t. he City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the reco-,,,,endations of the
Planning Com~ission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change 'of zoning of said property,
that said zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEHEFOHE, BE IT OEDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3-D (Limited
Multiple-Family Dwelling -- Ar.chitectural Design) Zone
to a C-2-D (Co--,ercial -- Archxtectural Design) Zone
of that certain property as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of s~i~ Se~ion 15;
thence S. 89" 19' 37" W., 805.61 feet along the South
line of said Section 15; thence N. 43° 31' 23" W. 309.00
feet to a point on a curve from which point the center of
said curve bears N. 43" 31' 23" W. 1,055 feet; thence
northeasterly along said curve to a point at the end of
said curve, from which point the center of said curve
bears N. 45" 47' 11" W., 1,055 feet; thence N. 44" 12' 49" E.
50.00 feet; thence S. 45° .47' 11" g. 80.00 feet to a
point at the beginning of a curve, from which point the
center of said curve bears N. 44° 12' 49" E. 290.00 feet;
thence along said curve in a southeasterly direction to
a point at th.e end of said curve, from which point the
??nter of said curve bears N. 08° 00' 00" W. 290.00 feet:
cn.ence N. 82° 00' 00" E. 662.00 feet, more or less to a '
point on the East line of said Section 15; thence S. 00°
00' 35" E. 233.00 feet; more or less to the point of
beginning, and excluding those rights-of-way that have
been dedicated as streets.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of September, 1963,
