HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1494 ORDINANCE NO. 1494 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now being annexed to said City, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the petition and the recommendation of the Planning Co~..,..~ssion, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended, by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain property in a C-2-D (Cormnercial -- Architectural Design) Zone, upon the annexation of said Property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: A parcel of land situated in the County of K'ern, State of California, and being a portion of the northeast quarter of Section 35, Township 29, South, Range 27 East, M.D.M.; Beginning at the intersection of the south ri~t-o.f-way line (wester.17 of Real Road) of Chester Lane (County Road No. 1228), and the west right-of-way line of Real Road (County Road No. 1086), said intersection being a point o.n the current corporate boun.d.a, ry of the City of Bakersfield; thence Westerly, departing from the said corporate boundary, and along the south riEht-of-way line of Chester Lane, S. 89° 52' 30" W. ~ a distance of 434.31 feet~ more or less to intersect the centerline of the Stine Canal; thence N. 2° 21' 02" W., along the said centerline of the Stine Canal, 200.11 feet; thence N. 24° 33' E., 109.92 feet, more or less, to the western terminus of Course (10) of Ordinance No. 1445, New Series, being a point in the current corporate boundary; N. 89° 52t 30" E., 388.42 feet, and along the corporate boundary to the westerly right-of-way line of said Real Road; thence Southerly along said westerly right-of-way line and the corporate boundary 300 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning and containing 2.94 acres of land, more or less. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City of Bakers- fie ld. 000- I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of August, 1963, by the following vote: ABSTAINING: Council of the City of Bakersfield.
