AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MU~ICIP~ CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
SOUTHERLY OF PLANZ ROAD AND EASTERLY OF HUGHES
LANE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth tn
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Co~ssion to
change the land use zoning of those certain properties in the City
of Bakersfield located southerly of Planz Road and easterly of
Hughes Lane, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said motion and the recommendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that said zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THErEFOrE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1,
That Section 17.12.020 (Zsning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries fr.o~, an R-1 (Single Family
Dwelling) Zone to an R-2 (Two Family Dwelling) Zone of
those certain properties located southerly of Planz Road
and easterly of Hu~hes Lane, being more particularly
described as follows:
Those two parcels adjacent southerly of Planz Road in the
No E. 1/4 of the N. W. 1/4 of the No E o 1/4 of Section 13,
consisting of that portion of Lot 3, Section 13, T. 30 S.,
Ko 27 E., M. D. M.~ as shown on Kern County Sales Map No° 1~
as recorded May 3, 1889, by Jo Bo Haggin, in the Office of
the ~corder for Kern County, being more particularly
described in combination as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot 3, the true
point of beginning; thence No 89° 55' 04" W. 300 feet;
thence S. 00° 02' 16" E. 296o18 feet; thence S. 89° 467
16" E. 300.24 feet, thence No 00° 02' 04" W. 30?°43 feet
to the true point of beginning; and excepting therefrom
those rights-of-way dedicated to Planz Road.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of October, 1963, by
the following vote:
