AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.04.770 OF TI-IE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD PER-
TANNING TO THE SPEED LIMIT ON SOUTH "H" STREET.
WHEREAS, a traffic survey has indicated that the present
25 miles per hour prima facie speed limit on "H" Street from
California Avenue south is unrealistic and consequently difficult
to enforce.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield~ that Section 11.04.770 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Bakersfield, be _~_mended to read as follows:
SECTION 1.
11.04.770 Seed limit on South "H" Street. A prima facie
speed of thirty-five, miles per hour is hereby determined and declared
to be the prima facle speed at which vehicles may travel on South
"I{" Street between the southerly line of California Avenue and the
northerly line of Planz Road.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall take effec't thirty days from and
after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the fore§oing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 9th day of March~ 1964~ by the follow-
