AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Plannin§ Co-~.{ssion and City Council have held
hea~in§s respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of the petition and the reco ...... ~ndation of the Planning
C~-..-ission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the .hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17:12.020 of Chapter 17o12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
certain property in a C-2 (Commercial) Zone, upon the annexation
of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of
which property are shown on the m,p hereto attached and m~de a
part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as
follows:
Beginning at a point of intersection of the
prolongation of the East boundary of Tract
No° 1549, as per map recorded May 17, 1950,
in Book ?, Pages 95 and 96 of Maps, in the
Office of the Recorder of the County of Kern,
State of California, and the southerly boundary
line of Brundage Lane, which point of inter-
section is a pointin the current corporate
boundary as defined by Ordinance No. 8?0, New
Series, and a point in the boundary of said
Section 1; thence easterly along both said
section and corporate boundary as defined by
Ordinance No. 1188, New Series, to the North-
east corner of Lot 12, Block 1, of "Cloverdale"
Tract, said corner being a point in the West
boundary of Hughes Lane; thence South along the
East line of said Lot 12 to the northeast corner
of Lot C as said lot is shown on the '~ap of
Cloverdale" recorded August 26, 1911, in Book 2,
Page 32 of Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County; thence westerly along
the North line of said Lot C to the northwest
corner thereof; thence Southerly 23.60 feet to
the northeast corner of Lot 1, Tract No. 1398;
thence westerly along the North line of said
tract to the northwest Corner thereof, said
corner being a point in the East line of Tract
No. 1149; thence northerly along said East line
of Tract No. 1149 to intersect the South line of
the North 25,31 feet of Lot 2, Tract No. 1149;
thence Westerly to a point of intersection w~'th
the West line of said Lot 2, which line being the
easterly boundary of Dixon Avenue, 50 feet in
width; the. ncc southerly along the West of.said
Lot 2 to zntersect the easterly prolongatmon of
the North line of Lot 30, Tract No. 1402; thence
westerly along said prolongatio, n .to the northeast
corner of said Lot 30 and continuing westerly to the
northwest corner of said Tract No. 1402; thence
southerly along the West boundary of Tract No. 1402
to a point 450.00 feet southerly of the North line
of said Section 1; thence westerly along a line
parallel to said North line of Section 1 to a point
of intersection with the easterly boundary of Tract
No. 1549, a point on the current corporate boundary;
thence northerly to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the
annexation of the above-described territory to the City of Bakers-
field.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meetin§ thereof held on the 6th day of July, 1964, by the
