HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1525 OBDINANCE NO. 1525 ~ SERIES AN OP, DINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY C~ANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED NORTHWESTERLY OF THE INTERSECTION OF PINE STREET AND BRUNDAGE LANE. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Co~,..ission to change the land use zoning of those certain properties in the City of Bakersfield located northwesterly of the intersection of Pine Street and Brundage Lane, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of said motion and the reco,,.,~endations of the Planning Co,-,--ission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that said zoning change should be authorized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain pr6perties in said City, the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows: Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (Single Family Dwel.lin~) Zone to an R-I-P (Single Family Dwelling-Automobile Parkxng) Zone on the North 74.96 feet of the North 124.96 feet, and to rezone the South 50 feet of the North 124.96 feet from an R-1 (Single Family'Dwelling) Zone to a C-1 (Limited Co~muercial), or more restrictive, Zone, on that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located northwesterly of the intersection of Pine Street and Brunda§e Lane, being more particularly described as follows: Co....,encing at a point on the easterly boundary line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M.D.Mo, thence North 60 feet; thence West arallel to the South line of said Section a distance.of 77.862.feet to the true point of begi. nning; thence continuxng West along same parallel lxne 159.229 feet, thence North along a line parallel with the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 275 feet; thence East along a line parallel to the South line of said Section to a point of intersection with a line originating at the true point of beginning running North and parallel to the East line of tb~ Southwest Quarter of said Section; thence South along said parallel line to the true point of beginning. EXCEPT the parcel of land as conveyed to Ned L. Chaffin and wife by deed recorded November 20, 1963, in Book 2153, Page 15 of the Official Records of the County of Fmrn, and the Easterly 30 feet described in Deed No. 324 executed by Earl A.
