AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordanc~ with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~ssion and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of the petition and the recoaa,~ndation of the Planning
Co~ssion, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City°
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17o12.020 of Chapter 17o12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
certain property in a C-2 (Comm~rcial) Zone, upon the annexation
of said property to the City of Ba~rsfield, the boundaries of
which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a
part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as
follows:
That portion of Lot 4 in Section 1, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.Mo, in the County of
Kern, State of California, according to Sales
Map No° 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County
on May 3, 1889, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said lot;
thence south along the east line thereof a
distance of 481.71 feet; thence west and
parallel to south line of said lot a distance
of 210 feet; thence South and parallel to the
east line of said lot a distance of 50.6 feet;
thence west and parallel to the south line of
said lot a distance of 420 feet to a point on
the west line of said lot; thence north along
said west line to the northwest corner thereof;
thence east along the north line of said Lot 4
to the point of beginning; but excepting that
north part not exceeding 17o50 feet granted to
the State of California by deed recorded
February 1, 1963, in Book 3571, Page 529 of
Official Records°
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the
annexation of the above-described territory to the City of Bakers-
field.

I HEP, EBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of July, 1964~ by
