BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
as follows:
Sect[on 1
The Council of the City of Bakers~.ield hereby grants to
The Atchtson~ Topeka and Santa Fe P. ailwa~ Company, a corporation
or~anized and incorporated under the laws of the State of Eansas~
~ts successors and assigns, a pe~m~.~ to construct, maintain and
operate railroad trackage of stand.~rd guage along 15th Street and
across F Street in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of Californ~a~ the center line of said track being described as
follows, to w~.t:
Center line of proposed track is described as
at a point On the center line of track ~o. 4, 0.2~ feet
westerly of the west l~ne of G Street, and 27,45 feet
northe~t~,~km~.~at~;weS~,l[n'e of G Street from the
northeast corner of Block 3~7; ~he west l~ne of G Street
being also the northerly prolongation of the east
of Block 357; thence on a 9 de§~ee and 30 m~nute curve
concave southwesterly 67.99 fee~; thence on tangent
45.03 feet; thence on a 9 degree and 30 minute curve
concave northeasterly 75.29 ~ee'~; thence on tangent
92.17 feet; thence on a 5 de;rea and 00 minute curve
concave southwesterly 66.34 ~eet =o a point in the west
line of F Street.
Section 2
" The r~-~hts, privileges and permission herein g_~-anted to
said corporation are subject to the £ollowin§:
(1) Such regulations as m-y be prescribed from time to
"t;-~_ by Ch~ Co~anctl of the city of 'Bake~s'field,
(2) The use of said tracks 'for tb~ transportation of
freisht for hire.
(3) That said tracks shall be la~d and ma~ntained to
confom to the grade of the streets over which they pass,
(4) That the construction o£ said track along lSth
Street and across F Street and the maintenance o£ all said tracks
shall be performed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer of the
City of Bakersfield.
(5) That said tracks shall be opera,ed in a m-vet so
as ta mtn~mtze the inter£erence with the use of said streets by
tb~ public.
(6) That this permit shall be revocable in t~s entirety
as to any of the tracks embraced hereby or as Co a portion of any
of such tracks at ~he pleasure of the City Council of the City of
Bakersfield.
