AN ORDINANCE AME'~DING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MIH~C?PAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGII~ THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CEltTAIN
PItOPEItTIES IN TI{E CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BOUNDED
ON TI{E WEST BY HALEY STREET, ON THE SOUTH BY
COLI1MBUS STREET, ON THE EAST BY COniLL STREET
AND EXTENDING NORTH FI~)M'COLUMB~ STREET A
DISTANCE OF 205.68 FEET.
WHEREAS, tn accordance wit/~ the procedure set forth in
~he provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Plarmtng Co-mission to
change ~:he Land use zoning of those certain properties tn ~he City
of Bakersfield bounded on the west by italey Street, on the south
by Col~w,~us Street, on the east by Cornel1 Street and extending
north from Columbus Street a distance of 205.58 feet, and
WBEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said motion and the recommendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together w~th the reasons
advanced at ~he hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, TI{EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Ctt-y
of Bakersfield as follows: .
That Section 17.12.020 (Zon[n§ Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
chen~ing the land use zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and m~de a part hereof, as follows:
zChang~ng the z_onin_g boun~daries from an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling)
one t_o an.. R-3. D. (Ltm~_~ed Multiple Famtly._Dwelltng--Archttec~ural
Design) Zone of certain properties described as follows:
The Sour. h 25.81 fee~: of Lot 195, all of Lots 196, 197, 198, 199,
200, 201; and the South 40 feet of Lot 202, Tra¢~ 1795, in the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of Californfa, according to
the Map ~:hereof recorded April 1, 1955, in Book 8, Page 189 of
lisps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County; together
with that portion of the alley shoum on the map of said Tract, as
lying ~l.est of Lots 196, 197, 198, and the South 25.81 feet of
Lot 195, and lying East of Lots 199, 200, 201 and the South 40
fleet of Lot 202, said portion of the alley having been vacated by
order of the City Council of Bakersfield, by its final resolution
No. 735, dated April 7, 1958 a certified copy thereof recorded
Nay 29, 1959 in Book 3139, Page 406 of Official Records.
