AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTIONS 5.32. 090
(CLASSIFICATION OF USAGE--COMPUTATION OF
USAGE TIME--MORNING, AFTE'RNOON AND EVENING
DEFINED) AND 5.32.120 (I~ENTAL RATES FOR
CHARITABLE, RELIGIOUS OR CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE o
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 5.32.090 (Classification of usage--Computation
of usage time--Morning, afternoon and evening defined) be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
5.32.090 Classification of usage--Computation of usage
time--Morning, afternoon and evening defined. The classifications
of usage indicated in the schedule of rates hereafter set forth by
Council resolution shall detemine the amount of all Auditorium
rentals. The period of each occupancy shall be computed from the
time the lights are turned on until they are turned off and/or by
the total t~me during which the permittee occupies any hall or
other facility of the Auditorium to the exclusion of another event
or attractions as the Manager may detemine.
SECTION 2.
That Section 5.32.120 (Rental rates for charitable,
religious or civic organizations) be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
5.32.120 Noncommercial Rental Rates. The Manager may
grant pemission to use the Auditorium for strictly patriotic,
charitable, religious or civic purposes when sponsored by a
recognized local noncommercial organization at which an admission
is charsed, collection taken, space or merchandise sold or revenue
derived directly or indirectly, at a rental of eighty percent of
the co~m,~ercial rental rate established. To comply with this
regulation, a certificate of tax exemption must be supplied by the
Federal government.
SECTION 3,
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and
after the date of its passage.
