AN ORDINANCE AHENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
)g~T~CZPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE IAND USE ZONING OF TI~0SE CERTAIN
PROFERT~ES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SOUTH CHESTER AVENUE
AND GENEVA AVEHUE..

the provisions of TXtia l? of the Huntctpal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Comm~ssion and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion o£ the Planning Counisston to
chan~e the .land use zontn~ of those certain properties in the City
of Bakersfield located at the northeast corner of South Chester
Avenue and Geneva Avenue, and
~HEREAS, the City Council has deteEmtned after due
consideration of said motion and the recoumendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings £or a chan§e of =ontn~ of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NO~, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIHED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as
That Section 17.12.020 (~.ontng map) of the Municipal Code
of .the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use soning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Zone to a C 1 D (L~m!ted Commercial Architectural Design) Zone of
that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located at the
Northeast corner of South Chester Avenue and geneva Avenue, being

That portion of the South one-half of Section 7, Township 30 South,
P~nge 28 East, Mount D~ablo Base and Meridian, in ~he City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, described as
follows: BEGINNING at the Westerly teminus of that certain
course having a bearin~ of North 89' ~2~ 30" East and a distance
of 131. 185 feet as shown on Tract No. 1738 as recorded in Book
Pase 167, records o£ the County Recorder o£ said County; thence
North 89° $2t 30" East alons the Northerly line of geneva Avenue
(88 feet wide), 31.6~ feet; thence North 28' 22t 23" West parallel
to Chester Avenue (ll0 feet wide) a distance of 1§0.00 feet; thence
South 87° 51t 01" West, 158.65 feet to the Kasterly line' of said
Chester Avenue; thence South 28° 22* 23'7 East alon& the Easterly line
of said Chester Avenue, 150.00 feet to the besinnins of a tansent
curve concave Northerly and hevtn~ a radius of 20.00 feet; thence
Southeasterly and easterly alons said curve a. d%stauce o£ 27.42 feet
to the besinn~.n~ of a curve concave Southerly and havtn~ a radius of
358.00 feet; thence Northeasterly and Easterly along said curve a
d~stance of 105.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGIlqNINGo

passed and adopted by the Council o£ the City of Bakersfield at a
resular meetins thereof held on the 23rd day of February, 1965, by
