AN ORDINANCE AHENDIN(~ SECTION 11.04. 650 (d) OF
TflE MIINICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
PEItTAININC TO TRUCK TRAFFIC AND PAIIKING ON
DESIG"NATED STItEETS WITHIN THE CITY OF BAKE~-
FIELD.
BE ~T OKDAINED by the Council of the C~ty of Bakersfield
that Section 11.04.650 (d) of the Municipal Code of the C~ty of
Bakersfield be amended to read as follows.'
SECTION 1.
11.04.650 (d) Truck roue:es .established ..... (d) When
such truck routes are established and designated by appropriate
s~ns, the operator of any veht¢le ex¢eed~ng a max~-~-, gross
l~m~t of ~wo tons shall dr~ve on such routes and none other, except
when necessary to traverse another street or streets to des~nat~ons
for the purpose of loading or unloading merchand~.se, freight or
materials, but then only by such deviation from the nearest truck
route as ~s reasonably necessary. In no event shall the operator
or owner of any such vehicle park or permit such vehicle to be
parked along any routes w~th~n the C~ty of Bakersfield ex¢ept
here~n described des~ated truck routes, except when necessary
park for the 9urpose of load~u~ or unloading merchandise, freight or
meter~als~ and then only to the extent that such park~n~ ~s
reasonably necessary.
Th~s ord~nan¢e shall take effect thirty days from and
after the date of ~ts passage.
