AN ORDINANCE AMENDIN~ SECTION 17.12.020 (ZONING
NAP) OF THE NIINICIP~ CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD BY ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY BEIN~
ANNEXED TO SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Section 17.68.010 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have
held hearings respectively, on a petition to zone certain property
now being annexed to sa~d City, and
WHEREAS, the .City Council has determined after due
consideration of the petition and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should
be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW~ .THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Nap) of the lqunic[pal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby '-mended by
extendinl~ the boundaries of said map to include certain property in
a C-O-D (Professional Office -- Architectural Design) Zone, upon
the annexation of said property to the 'City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and m-de a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically
described as follows:
Zoning upon _Annexati_on to a C_-O-D (Professional Office --
Architectural Design) Zone, for those certain properties

Columbus Avenue, being more particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
Lots 1 through 20 of Tract No. 1282, being all
of Villa Lots $ and 6, and the North 165.05
feet of the East 1/2 of Lot 12 and the East 13
feet of Lot 12, and West 13 feet of Lots 4 and
13 of Drury's Addition, Nap Book 1, Page 101,
o£ Kern County ltecords, Section 21, Tmmship 29
South, Range 28 East; H. Do B. & N., and a
portion o£ Coltunbus Avenue.
SECTION 2.

annexation of sa~d property to the City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are sho~n~ on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically
described as follovs:
Zoning upon Annexation to a C-loD (Limilted C0n~nerct~l
Architectural Design) Zone, that certain property in the
County of Kern con,only knoum as 1135 Columbus Avenue,
be~-n~ more particularly described as follows, to wit:
The North 120 feet of Lot 1, of Tract No. 1926,
being a portion of V~lla Lots 7 and 8 Druryts
Addition of Kern City in Section 21, Township
29 South, Rar~e 28 East, H. D. B. & t4., as per
14ap recorded 14arch 18, 1907, in Book 1, Page 101
in the Office of tb~ County Recorder tn the
County of Kern, State of California.
SECTION 3.
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning 14ap) of the Huntctpal Code
of the. City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
extendl, n§ the boundaries of said map to include certain property in
a 'vPut (Automobile Parking) Zone, upon the annexation of said
property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which
property are sho~n on the ~p hereto at~ached and mdc a part of
this ordinance, and are more specifically described as
Zoning upon~. Annexation to a "1~t' (Automobile Parking)
Zone, for that certatn property in the County of
Kern connnonly known as .llll Col-rebus Avenue, being
more particularly descrtbed as follows, to-wit:
The East $03.67 feet of the North 100 feet
of Lot 1, Tract ~926,

That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Hap) of the Huntc~pal Code

SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall become'effective Upon the annexation
of the above-described territory co the City of Bakersfield.
