HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1590 ORDINANCE NO. 1590 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF TBE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WBEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Plannin§ Co,.,ission and City Council have held hearin§s respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now annexed to said City, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the petition and the reco~muendation of the Plannin§ Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearin§ for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain property in an R-S (Suburban Residential) Zone, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: A parcel of land situated in the County of. Kern. State of Califorfiia, being a portion of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 1, Town- ship 30 South, Range 27 East, M. D. M.; Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 44, as said Lot 44 is shown on the "Kern County Sales Map No. i of the Lands of J. B. Ha§gin" filed for record May 3, 1889, in the Office of the County..Recorder of said Kern County, said Southeast"cStfler' being 'a point,on.-the. Northerly ri§ht-of'.-.way line of the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield, as defined by Ordinance No. 1299 New Series; THENCE (1) Westerly along the said northerly right-of-way line of Ming Avenue, 850 feet; THENCE (2) Northerly, 250 feet to the Northwest corner of a Grant Deed to Joseph H. Uhler, recorded February 20, 1953 in Book 2043 at Page 304 of the Official Reco.rds of said Kern County; THENCE (3) Easterly along the said North line of the South 250 feet of said Lot 44 to intersect the East line of said Lot 44; THENCE (4) Southerly along the East line of said Lot 44 to the Southeast corner thereof, the point of beginning and containing 4.878 acres more or less. SECTION 2. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of th~ Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain property in a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design) Zone, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifi- cally described as follows: PARCEL "A" Startin~ at the Southeast corner of Lot 44, the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 1, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M. D. M.; THENCE (1) Westerly 850 feet along the Northerly right-of-way of Ming Avenue to the point of beginning. THENCE (2) Westerly along said Northerly right-of-way of Ming Avenue, and along the Westerly prolongation of said Northerly right-of-way line to intersect the Easterly right-of-way line of Castro Lane; THENCE (3) Northerly 195 feet along the Easterly right-of-way line of Castro Lane; said East right-of-way line being the West line of aforesaid Lot 44; THENCE (4) Easterly 25 feet; TM~NCE (5) Northerly 131 feet; THENCE (6) Easterly 390 feet; THENCE (7) Southerly 100 feet; THENCE (8) Eas.t.e.r!y .2.5 feet; THENCE (9) Southerly 226 feet to intersect the point of beginning, said point of beginning being the Southeast corner of a Grant Deed to James tl. Cave. Jr., recor.de.d October 24, 1949, in Book 1641 at Page 336 of the Offzczal Records of said Kern County; containing 2.997 acres more or less. PARCEL "B" Starting at the Southeast corner of Tract No. 2396 as shown on the Map recorded August 3, 1961, in Book 12 of Maps at 'Page 46 in the Office of the said County Recorder; TBENCE (1) South 25 feet to the point of beginning; THENCE (2) South 200 feet along the Westerly right-of-way of Castro Lane, to intersect the Northerly right-of-way o f Ming Avenue; THENCE (3) Westerly, 405.60 feet to intersect the West line of a parcel of land, deeded to the Keyser Brothers Trucking Company recorded Januar7 21, 1964, in Book 3683 at Pa§e 819 of the Official Records of said Kern County; THENCE (4) North 0° 45' 23" East, 500 feet more or less, to the Northwest corner of last named parcel; THENCE (5) East, 62.12 feet along the North line of the said last named parcel; THENCE (6) South 300 feet; TBENCE (7) Easterly 343.48 feet to the point of beginning, a parcel of land containing 2.237 acres more or less. SECTION 3. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain property in a P (Automobile Parkin~ Zone, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as fo llows: PARCEL "C" Beginning at the Southeast corner of Tract No. 2396 T~ENCE (1) South 25 feet along the Westerly right-of-way of Castro Lane; THENCE (2) Westerly 343.48 feet; THENCE (3) North 300 feet to the North line of for. said parcel deeded to Keyser Brothers Company; THENCE (4) Easterly 25 feet along the North line of above last named parcel to the Northwest corner of Tract No. 2396; THENCE (5) South, 275.00 feet along the West line of said Tract No. 2396; THENCE (6) Easterly along the South line of said Tract No. 2396 to the point of beginning containing .354 acres more or less. PARCEL "D" Starting at the North right-of-way line of Ming Avenue, where the East right-of-way line of Castro Lane intersects; North 351 fee~. to the point of beginning; TBENCE (1) Easterly 440.00 feet to the Northeast corner of a Grant Deed to Ja~m.es R. Cave, Jr., recorded .' October 24~ 1949 in Book 1641 at Page 336 of the Official Records of said Kern County; THENCE (2) Southerly along the East line of last named Grant Deed 125.00 feet; THENCE (3) West 25 feet; THENCE (4) North 100 feet; THENCE (5) West 390 feet; THENCE (6) South 131 feet; THENCE (7) West 25 feet to the Easterly right-of-way line of Castro Lane~ of 60 feet in width; TB~.NCE (8) North along the East right-of-way of Castro Lane 156.00 feet more or less to the point of beginning~ containing .384 acres more or less.
