3.99.010 CR~A. TION OF DIVISION. There is hereby established
a Division o£ Hun~ctpal Transit. Said Division shell

Authority of the City of Bakersfield and shall
operate said equipment°
3.99.020 .OFFICE~_ O.F DIRECTOR ~/T3), There is hereby created
the. office of Directo~ of the ]~vtston of..Municipal
Transit .of the City of Bakere~ield.

3.99.0~0 DUTIES OF DIRECTOR. The duties of the Director of
the Division of Hunicipal Transit of the City of
Bakersfield shall be as follows:
a. Supervise the preparation of bus schedules
b. Regulate the operation of buses and the vorkin~

c. Supervise ~he activities of all transit employees
d. Supervise servicing, maintenance and repair ~ork
carried out in the Transit System Garage
e. Hake s~udtes and recommendations to the City
Hanager on fare structureso zone lflnits, modification,
extensions Or reductions of routes and charter service.
£. Subject to approval of the Ctt~y' Hanager,
routes, schedules time points, ~ork runs,, schedule
speeds for the entire system.
g. Supervises administrative and clerical work and
prepares division budget.
h. Such other duties as the Cit~y Hanager may from
time to time assign to the Director.
SECTION 2.
That Chapter 3.68 of the ~unicipal Code of the City
of Bakersf~-eld is hereby amended to delete class nunher
· ranstt Superintendent from 3.63.110 - Employee
SECTION 3.

SECTION 4.
That Chapter 3.08 o£ the Nunictpal Code of the City
of Bakersfield is hereby deleted.
SECTION 5.
.This ordinance is hereby detemtned to be an a~ergency
ordinance within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the
C~t~y of Bakersfield, California, and shall be effective on and
after the 8th day of November, 1965.
