AMENDING SECTXON ?.48.010 OF THE I. IUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CIT~ OF BAKP-RSFIELD AND ADDING
SECTION 7.48.020(4).

as foll~,;s:
SEGTION 1.
, That Section 7.48.010 of the Mtmicipal Code Of the City
of Bakersfield be amended to read as follows:
7.48.010 Per.mit ,required. It sh~ll be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to keep, maintain, run or conduct any hotel,
lodge_nE house, rooming house or apartment hous. e in the City of
Bakersfield, without first having procured a pez~i~ to do so, from
the City Manager of the City of Bakersfield, such permits to be
renewed annually, provided, however, that the provisions of this
chapter shall not apply to private houses with permanent tenants
as distinguished from transients, in which not more than two rooms
or not more than t~o apartments are ranted or leased or held out
to be rented or leased.
SECTION 2.
That Section 7.48.020(4) be added to th~ Municipal Code
to read as follows:
7.48.020(4.) That the applicant is not in violation of Chapter
6.12 of the Mu~icipal Code of the .City of Bakersfield.
