AN ORDINANCE AHEHDING CHAPTER 11.04 OF THE
MU~IICIPAL CODE OF THE CIT~ OF BAKERSFIELD BY '
ADDING SECTION 11.04.727 PROHIBITING PARKING
ON A PORTION OF THE CURVE BET~EEN 24TH AND
23RD STREET BE~'EEIq "B" AND "D' STREETS,
BE IT ORDAI~D by the Councit of the City of Bakersfield
that Chapter I~.04 is hereby amended by adding Section
to read as follovs;
11.04.727 PARKING PROHIBITED ON I PORTION OF THE CURV~-
BETw'EKN 24TH AND 23RD STREETS B~.T~EEH "B" AHD "D" STREETS. (&) i~hen
appropriate sips are posted, no person shall stop, park, or leave
standing any vehicle whether at~ended or unattended, excep~ when
necessary to avoid conflict with other tra££tc or in compliance
wl~h the directions o~ a peace o~fftcer or tra~ffic control
device, anywhere on the curve on 24th and 23rd Streets between
'B' and 'D' S,.reets (on 2t~her side of the street).

- (b) Tae provisions of'this Oection'~hall not apply to
the driver or owner of any se~ice vehicle o~med or operated by or

utility property or facilities, when such vehicle is stopped,

highway, or of a vehicle, ~hether privately, namictpally, or

(c) This ordinance shell cease to be operative
six months after receipt by the City Council of written notice of
withdrawal of approval of the Department of Public l~orks, of
StAte of California.
This ordinance shell take e£fecC thirty days from and
after the date of its passage.
