AN ORDXNANCE AMENDXNC CHAPTER 11.0~ OF THE
MUNXCXPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFXKLD BY
ADDXNG SECTIONS 11.04. ?25 AND 11.04.726'
PROHXBXTXNG PARKXNG ON A FORTXON OF THE '1400
BLOCI~ and 1500 BLOCK OF BItUNDAGE LANK.
BE XT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that Chapter 11.04 is hereby amended by adding Sections 11.04.725
and 11.04.726 to read as follows:
11.04.725 PARKINC PROHXBXTED ON A PORTION OF THE 1400
BLOCK AND 1500 BLOCK OF BRB~qDAGK LANK. (a) When appropriate signs
are posted, no person shall stop, park, or leave standing any
vehicle whether attended or unattended, except when necessary to
avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with tb]
directions of a peace officer or traffic control Signal device, on
B~undage Lane, both on the north and south side of the streets east
of Chester Avenue, for a distance of 190 feet and on Brundage Lane
on the north side of the street, west of Chester Avenue, in the
1500 block, for a distance of 133 feet.
(b) The provisions of this .section shall not apply to
the driver or owner of a~y service vehicle owned or operated by or
for or operated under contract wtth'a utility or public utility,
whether privately, municipally or publicly owned, used in the
construction, operation, removal or repair of utility or public
utility property or facilities, when such vehicle ts stopped,
standing or parked at the site of work involving the construction,
operation, removal or repair of such utility or public utility
property or facilities upon, in, over, under or adjacent to said

publicly owned, en~aged in authort*-ed work on sa~d h~ghway.
11.04.726 This ordinance $hall cease to be operative
six months after receipt by the City Council of written not~ce of
~Lthdrawal o£ approval of the Department o£ Public ~.~orks, of the
S~te o~ Ca~o~a.
