AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 11.04 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
BY ADDING SECTION 11.04.762 PROHIBITING
PARKING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF BRUNDAGE
LANE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that Chapter 11.04 is hereby amended by adding Section 11.04.762 to
read as follows:
SECTION I
11.04.762 Parkin8 Prohibited on Portions of Brunda~e Lane. (a)
When appropriate signs are posted, no person shall stop, park, or
leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, except
when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic Or in compliance
with the direction of a peace officer or traffic control signal
device, on Brundage Lane for a distance of 95 feet east of Oleander
Avenue and 150 feet west of Oleander Avenue on the north side of
Brundage Lane.
(b) When appropriate signs are posted, no person shall
stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or
unattended, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the direction of a peace officer or
traffic control signal device, on Brundage Lane for a distance of
250 feet west of Oleander Avenue and 180 feet east of Oleander
Avenue on the south side of Brundage Lane.
(c) The provisions of this section shall not apply to
the driver or owner of any service vehicle owned or operated by or
for, or operated under contract with a utility or public utility
whether privately, municipally or publicly owned, used in the con-
struction, operation, removal or repair of utility or public utili.ty
property or facilities, when such vehicle is stopped, standing or
parked at the site of work involving the construction, operation,
removal or repair of such utility or public utility property or
facility upon, in, over, under or adjacent to said highway, or of
a vehicle, whether privately, municipally, or public owned, engaged
in authorized work on said highway.
(d) This section shall cease to be operative six months
after receipt by the City Council of written notice of withdrawal
of approval of the Department of Public Works of the State of
California.
SECTION II
This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and
after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of July , 1968,
