AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD Ab~NDING C}~PTER 3.18 OF'THE
MI~ICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 3.18.050.
BE IT oRDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the first paragraph of Section 3.18.050 of the
Municipal Code o~ the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read
as follows:
3.18.050 Salary_Ranges/Pay Periods. All employees of the City
of Bakersfield shall earn their wage based on an. annual salary
allocated to .their class or position. Employees of Streets and
Waste Water, Parks, Sanitation, Maintenance and Transit divisions
shall be paid on a biweekly basis? All other employees shall be
'~paid on a semimonthly basis,. The following salary ranges for
various pay periods are established:
SECTION 2.
tT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the provisions of this
ordinance shall become effective July 1, 1968.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of June, 1968, by'
the following vote:
