AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY AMENDING SECTION
11.04.748 (SPEED LIMIT ON 34TH STREET) AND
BY ADDING SECTION 11.04.735 (SPEED LIMIT ON
SERVICE ROADS TO AND FROM THE TRAFFIC CIRCLE
ON GOLDEN STATE HIGH~AY).
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04.748 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield be amended to read as follows:
11.04.748 Speed Limit on 34th Street. A prima facie
speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour is hereby determined
and declared to be the prima facie speed limit at which vehicles
may travel on 34th Street from the east curbline of Chester Avenue
to the west curbline of Union Avenue.
SECTION 2.
That new Section 11.04.735 be added to the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield to read as follows:
11.04.735 Speed Limit on service roads to and from the
traffic circle on Golden State Highway. A prima facie speed limit
of thirty-five (35) miles per hour is hereby determined and declared
to be the prima facie speed limit at which vehicles may travel on
the service roads connecting to Golden State Highway leading to and
exiting from the Garces Circle for a distance of 600 feet from the
Circle or to the end of the bridge rail separating the service
roads from Golden State .Highway.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of June, 1968, by
the following vote:
