AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OE
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth
in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield, the Planning Co~Lission and City Council have
held hearings respectively, on motion to zone certain property
now being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map)
of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the
same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map
to include those certain properties in the County of Kern being
a portion of Sections 26, 34, 35, T29S, R27E, and Section 3,
T30S, R27E, M.D.B.M., known as California Avenue #1 Annexation,
in a C-2 (Commercial) Zone; in an M-1 (Light Manufacturing) Zone;
in an R-3 (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling) Zone; in a C-0
(Professional Office) Zone; in a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone;
in an "A" (Agricultural)Zone; and in an .R-l-CH (Single Family
...... Dwelling -. Church) Zone, upon the--annexation-of said property
to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are
shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance,
and are more specifically described as follows:
TO A C-2 (COMMERCIALI) ZONE: ..:;:
Parcel ~1: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13 of Tentative'~ract
No. 3202, as said Tentative Tract was filed with
the City of Bakersfield Planning Department on
May 17, 1968.
Parcel ~2: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 5 of
said Tract 3202; thence easterly and southerly
along the boundary of said Tract 3202 to the north
right of way of California Avenue; thence South 56
degrees 35 minutes 35 seconds West, 440 feet;
thence North 33 degrees 24 minutes 25 seconds West
to the east right of way line of the Carrier Canal;
thence northeasterly along said canal to the point
of beginning·
Parcel ~3: That parcel bounded by the Stine Canal on the east,
California Avenue on the south and said Tentative
Tract 3202 on the west and north·
Parcel ~4: That parcel bounded by the Stine Canal on the east,
California Avenue on the north as said California
Avenue is shown on said Tentative Tract 3202; and'
on the south and west by the following described
line: Beginning at the intersection of Chester
Lane and Real Road; thence North 0 degrees 07
minutes 30 seconds West, 270.00 feet; thence South
89 degrees 52 minutes 30 seconds West, 561.51 feet
to the true point of beginning; thence South 31
degrees 16 minutes 25 seconds West, 161.57 feet;

30.04 feet; thence North 48 degrees 58 minutes 39
seconds West, 720.60 feet; thence concave to the
east through a central angle of 48 degrees 12 minutes
49 seconds and a radius of 260 feet, an arc distance
of 218.79 feet to the south line of California Avenue.

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexa-
tion of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of August, 1968,
by the following vote:
