BE IT.-ORDAINED by. the Council of the City o~ Bakersfield(
as follows:
_ . SECTION 1.
That -Section 17.23.040 of the Municipal Code of'She City
of Bakersfield be amended to read as follows: -"
17.23~040 Front yard. There shall be a front yard of'
not '.less than five (5) feet.
SECTION 2. _.
That Section 17.23.050 of the Municipal. Cp. de of the City
of Bakersfield be amended tO' 'read .as follows'
17.23.050 Side yaKd. Where a lot abuts upon the side
of a lot in any "R" zone, there shall be a side yard of not less -
than five (5) feet'. Wh'~re a reversed corner lot rears upon a lot
in any "R" zone, the side yard on the street side of the reversed .'
corner lot shall be not less than fifty (50) pe~ cent of the front ...
yard required on the key lot. In all other cases,, a side yard for
a professional-office building. Shall not be required. All buildings. --
used exclusively for dwelling purposes shall comply with the"
