AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ~OMMONLY
KNOWN AS 2601 MT. VERNON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to
change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City of
Bakersfield co~aonly known as 2601 Mt. Vernon Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said motion and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3-D
(Limited Multiple Family D~.elling - Architectural
Design) Zone to an R-i-CH (Single Family Dwelling -.
Church) Zone, of that certain property in the City
of Bakersfield commonly known as 2b01 Mt. Vernon
Avenue, being more particularly described as
follows:
The south half of the southwest quarter of the
sout'hwest quarter of the northwest quarter of
Section 22, Township' 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D..B.M., City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California. EXCEPTINg the street
right of way for Mt. Vernon Avenue and Bernard
Street.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that'the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the bth day of January~ .1969, by
