AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF KING AND LAKE STREETS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of those certain properties in the City of Bakersfield located at
the southwest corner of King and Lake Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recoLL-L~endations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a
zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That: Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and umde a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from a C-1 (Limited
Commercial) Zone to a C-2 (Commercial) Zone, of
· those certain properties in the City of Bakersfield·
located at the southwest corner of King and Lake
Streets, being more particularly described as
follows:
Lots.! through.10, and..the..east half,of Lo.t.ll, B10.ck
57, of the Kern Division, City·of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, as per Map recorded
January 12, 1889, Map Book 1, Pages 15 and 16, in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of April, 1969, by
the following vote:
