AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY AMENDING SECTIONS
11.04. 764 (SPEED LIMIT ON COLUMBUS STREET),
11.04.765 (SPEED LIMIT ON MOUNT VERNON AVENUE)
AND 11.04.780 (SPEED LIMIT ON HALEY STREET).
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04. 764 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield be amended to read as follows:
11.04.764 Speed Limit on Columbus Street. A prima facie speed
limit of thirty-five miles per hour is hereby determined and declared
to be the prima facie speed limit at which vehicles may travel on
Columbus Street from the east curbline of Union Avenue to the south
curbline of Christmas Tree Lane within the city limits.
SECTION 2.
That Section 11.04.765 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield be amended to read as follows:
11.04.765 Speed Limit on Mount Vernon Avenue. A prima facie
speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour is hereby determined and
declared to be the prima facie speed at which vehicles may travel
on Mount Vernon Avenue from the City Limit Line north to the
southerly curbline of Panorama Drive.
SECTION 3.
That Section 11.04.780 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield be amended to read as follows:
11.04.780 .Speed Limit on ~aley Street. A prima facie speed
limit of thirt~-five miles per hour is hereby determined ahd declared
to be the prima facie speed limit at which vehicles may travel
between the southerly property line of Knott Street and the southerly
property line of Panorama Drive.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of June , 1969,
