AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE lAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PACHECO ROAD BETWEEN
SOUTH "H" STREET AND UNION AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~m-L~ission and City Council have held
hearings..respectively, on a motion of the Planning Con~nission to
change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City of
Bakersfield located on the north side of Pacheco Road between South
"H" Street and Union Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said motion and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3 (Limited
Multiple Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-3-D (Limited
Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design)
Zone, of that certain property in the City of
Bakersfield located on the north side of Pacheco
Road. between South "H" Street and Union Avenue,
being more particularly described as follows:
The south 478.446 feet of the east half of Lot 17,
Section 18, T30S, R28~, M.D.B.M., City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, according to the
Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin
filed in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County on May 3, 1889.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June, 1969, by
the following vote:
