AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONIN~OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
AT 3502 TO 3718 ELM STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use
zoning of those certain properties in the City of Bakersfield
located at 3502 to 3718 Elm Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration 'of said petition and the recommendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundarie s from a C- 2
(Commercial) Zone to an R-3-D (Limited
Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural
Design) Zone, of those certain properties
in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 3502 to 3718 Elm Street, being more
particularly described as follows:
Lots 1 through 29, Tract 3234, City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
- ' ' California, as per Map recorded March 6,
1969, in Map Book 17, Pages 99 and 100,
in the Office of the County Recorder of
said County.

I HEREBY CERTIFY tha.t the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June, 1969,
by the following vote:
