AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING
SECTION 3.18. 160 (a) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
AUTHORIZING DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARIES OF CITY
EMPLOYEES FOR SHARES IN CREDIT UNION, SAVINGS
BONDS, EMPLOYEE DUES AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO AID,
UNITED GIVERS AND UNITED FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3.18.160(a) of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.18. 160(a) Deduction from wa~es. Employees may authorize
deductions to be made from their salaries or wages for shares and
savings in the Bakersfield City Employees Federal Credit Union,
United States Savings Bonds, dues in employee organizations,
recognized by the City Council, of which they are a member, and for
contributions to AID, United Givers or United Fund of Kern County,
Inc.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June, 1969, by
the following vote:
