AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE WEST SIDE OF HUGHES LANE, 370.03' SOUTH
OF WHITE LANE
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
west side of Hughes Lane, 370.03' south of White Lane; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the ].and use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from C-2 (Com-
mercial) Zone to a C-2-MH (Commercial - Mobile
Home Park) Zone of that certain property, located
on the west side of Hughes Lane, 370.03' south
of White Lane, being more particularly described
as follows:
PARCEL 1: The South 103 feet of that portion of
the North 516 feet of Lots 21 and 22 in Section
13, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.M.,
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, as per Kern County Sales Map No. 1
of Lands of J. B. Haggin filed May 3, 1889 in the
Office of the County Recorder of Kern County,
which lies East of the irrigation canal running
through said lots, as the same existed on
February 21, 1933.
EXCEPT the interest in the East 30 feet thereof
which has been conveyed to the County of Kern for
road purposes by deed recorded in Book 113, Page
360 of Deeds.
PARCEL 2: Lots 21 and 22 in Section 13, Township
30 South, Range 27 East, M. D. M., in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
according to the Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of
Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed May 3, 1889.
EXCEPT the North 1038.275 feet of said lots measured
from the South line of White Lane, 60 feet wide.
ALSO EXCEPT the West 988.97 feet of said lots
measured from the West line of said Lot 22.
ALSO EXCEPT the interest in the East 30 feet of
said Lot 21 as conveyed to the County of Kern, "For
the use and purpose of a public highway" by deed
from Dixie Castro, recorded April 5, 1901 in Book
113, Page 260 of Deeds, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County.
PARCEL 3: The South 264.275 feet of the North
1038.275 feet of Lots 21 and 22, Section 13, Town-
ship 30 South, Range 27 East, M. D. M., in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, as shown upon Kern County Sales Map
1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin and filed for record
in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern
County, California, May 3, 1889.
EXCEPT the Westerly 988.97 feet of said lot.
ALSO EXCEPT the interest in the east 30 feet
thereof, conveyed to the County of Kern, "For
the use and purpose of a public highway" by
deed from Dixie Castro, recorded April 5, 1901
in Book 113, Page 260 of Deeds, in the office
of the County Recorder Kern County.
PARCEL 4: The Westerly 988.970 feed of Lots 21
and 22, Section 13, Township 30 South, Range 27
East, M. D. M., in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, according
to the Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands of
J. B. Haggin, filed in the office of the County
Recorder of Kern County on May 3, 1889.
EXCEPT the Northerly 1038.275 feet of said lots.
The Westerly 988.970 feet referred to in the
above description applies to both lots as a
whole, and is to be measured at right angles
from the west line of said Lot 22.
PARCEL 5: The Westerly 988.970 feet of the
South 264.275 feet of the north 1038.275 feet of
Lots 21 and 22, Section 13, Township 30 South,
Range 27 East, M. D. M., in the City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California, as
shown upon Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands
of J. B. Haggin and filed for record in the
Office of the County Recorder of said Kern
County, California on May 3, 1889.
The westerly 988.970 feet referred to in the
above description applies to both lots and is
to be measured at right angles from the west
line of Lot 22.
PARCEL 6: The south 258 feet of the north 774
feet of Lots 21 and 22 of Section 13, T30S,
R27E, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, according to the
Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands of J. B.
Haggin filed in the Office of the County Recorder
of Kern County on May 3, 1889.
EXCEPT the east 30 feet thereof, granted to the
County of Kern, for road purposes by deed
recorded in Book 113, Page 360 of Deeds.
