AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PACHECO ROAD 200 FEET
WESTERLY OF UNION.AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~m~ission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on
the south side of Pacheco Road 200 feet westerly of Union Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration, of said petition and the reco,~,,~endations of the
Planning Co~nission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (Single
Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-D (Two Family Dwelling-
Architectural Design), Zone and to an R-3-D (Limited
Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design),
Zone, of that certain property in the City of Bakers-
field located on the south side of Pacheco Road 200
feet westerly of Union Awenue, being more particularly
described as follows:
For purposes of the following legals, the north line
of Lot 1 coincides with the centerline of Pacheco Road
and the east lines of Lots 1 and 2 coincide with the
centerline of South Union Avenue.
From an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone to an
R-2-D ~Two Family Dwelling - Architectural Design),
Zone:
The west 430 feet of the north 200 feet, of the
following described parcel of land: The east half of
Lot 1 in Section 19, T30S, R28E, M.D.B.M., in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
according to the Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands
of J. B. Haggin, filed May 3, 1889, in the Office of
the County Recorder of said County. EXCEPTING the
street right-of-way for Pacheco Road.
From an R-1 {Single Family Dwelling)Zone to an R-3-D
{Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural
Deszgn), Zone:
The west 430 feet of the north 860 feet, more or less,
of the following described parcel of land: The east
half of Lot 1 and the east half of Lot 2 in Section 19,
T30S, P,28E, M.D.B.M., in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State Of California, according to the
Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of the lands of J. B. Haggin,
filed May 3, 1889, in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County. EXCEPTING the north 200 feet.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meetin, g thereof held on the 6th day of October, 1969, by
the following vote:
