AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PANORAMA DRIVE BETWEEN
UNION AVENUE AND HALEY STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the 'provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to
change the land use zoning of that certain 'property in the City of
Bakersfield located on the north side of Panorama Drive between
Union Avenue and Haley Street, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said motion and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said 'property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain 'property in said City, the
boundaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (Single
Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-1-D (Single Family
Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone, of that
certain 'property in the City of Bakersfield located
on the north side of Panorama Drive between Union
Avenue and Haley Street, being more 'particularly
described as follows:
That 'portion of the City of Bakersfield lying between
the north right of way line of Panorama Drive and the
north City boundary as described by City Ordinance
No. 984 N.S. and City Ordinance No. 1390 N.S., the
west boundary being the northerly extension of the
west: right of way line of Union Avenue and the east
boundary being the northerly extension of the west
right of way line of Haley Street.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
'passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of September, 1969,
by the following vote:
