HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1824 ORDINANCE NO. 18R4 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain 'property now being annexed to said City, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said 'property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern bounded on the west by Chester Avenue, on the south by 38th and 42nd Streets, on the east by Union Avenue, and on the north by the South Side Canal and the P. G. & E. Power Transmission Line Easement, known as SAN DIMAS NO. 3 Annexation, in a C-O-D (Professional Office - Architectural Design) Zone, in a C-2-D (Co~mL~ercial - Architectural Design) Zone, in an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone, in an Rr3-MH.-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Mobile Home Park - Architectural Design) Zone, and in an M-1-D (Light Manufacturing - Architectural Design) Zone, upon the annexation of said 'property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which 'property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a 'part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: To a C-O-D (Professional Office - Architectural Desi~n~ Zone: Lots 3 and 4 of the south half of Block 695 of the Northern Division of the Town' of Bakers- field. To a C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural Design) Zone: Lots 3 and 4 of the south half of Block 694 of the Northern Division of the Town of Bakers- field. To an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone: All of Blocks 666, 667, Lot 1 of Block 687, Lots 1 and 2 of Block 694, Lots 1 and 2 of Block 695 in the Northern Division of the Town of Bakers field; ALSO, commencing at the intersection of the center line of "L" Street with the westerly extension of the north line of Lot 3, Block 697, said "L" Street and Block 697 being as shown on a n~'p entitled "Map of the City of Bakersfield", County of Kern, State of California, filed November 25, 1898, in the Office of the County Recorder of said Kern County; Thence (1) N 89° 58' 08" E. along the last named westerly extension and north line, 41.47 feet; Thence (2) N 64© 11' 30" E. to intersect the north line of Block 696, said Block 696 being as shown on aforesaid "Ma'p of the City of Bakers- field", said intersection being the True Point of Beginning; Thence (3) Continuing N 64© 11' 30" E. to a ~point which lies N 64° 11' 30" E., 2021.06 feet as measured from the easterly terminus of course (1) of this description; Thence (4) S. 20° 36' 00" E. to intersect the north line of Block 694, said Block 694 being as shown on aforesaid "Map of the City of Bakers- field"; Thence (5) Westerly along the last named north line and westerly extension thereof to the Point of Beginning. To an R-3-MH-D (Limited Multiple Family DwellinK - Mobile Home Park - Architectural Design) Zone: Ail of Blocks 685 and 686 and that portion of abandoned "L" Street south of 42nd Street and north of 40th Street in the Northern Division of the Town of Bakersfield; ALSO, starting at the southeast corner of Lot 2, Block 696 as the Point of Beginning; thence westerly all the south line of said Blocks 696 and 697 and westerly extension thereof to the center line of "L" Street as said "L" Street is shown on the map entitled "City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California", filed November 25, 1898, in the Office of the County Recorder of said Kern County; thence north along said center line to the westerly extension of the north line of Lot 3, Block 697, Northern Division of the City of Bakersfield; thence N 89° 58' 08" E along the last named north line and westerly extension, 41.47 feet; thence N 64° 11' 30" E to jlntersect the north line of Lot' 1, said Block 696; thence east along the north line of Lot 1 of said Block 696 to the northeast corner of Lot 1; thence south along the east line of said Block 696 to the Point of Beginning. To an M-1-D (Light Manufacturin~ - Architectural Design) Zone: Ail of Blocks 683, 684, 698, 699 and 700 of the Northern Division of the Town of Bakersfield; ALS(), including the abandoned streets of 41st Street between Blocks 683 and 684, 43rd Street between Blocks 699 and 700. and "K" Street easterly of Blocks 683, 684, 699, and 700. ALS(), 'including the west half of "L" Street easterly of Block 698. SECTION 2.
