AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
BETWEEN STINE ROAD AND AKERS ROAD AND
APPROXIMATELY 400 FEET SOUTH OF MING AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located between
Stine Road and Akers Road and approximately'400 feet south of
Ming Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the reco~Lm~endations of the Planning
Co~m~ission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(Single Family Dwelling) Zone to a C-2-D
(Commercial - Architectural Design) Zone,
of that certain property in the City of
Bakersfield located between St~9 g9~ ~D~ ....
Akers Road and approximately 400 fee~ south
of Ming Avenue, being more particularly
described as follows:
Ali. that portion of Lots 5 and 6, in Section
11, T30S, R27E, M.D.M., in the City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California,
according to that certain plat of said Section
entitled "Sales Map of Lands of the Kern County
Land Company", dated January 9, 1894, and
filed in the office of the County Recorder of
said County on January 25, 1894, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot
6, said southwest corner being for the purposes
of this description on the intersection of the
westerly prolongation of the south line of said
Lot 6, and the centerline of Stine Road; thence
N 30° 53' 45" E along the centerline of Stine
Road, 645.26 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
thence continuing N 30° 53' 45" E along said
centerline of Stine Road, 376.90 feet; thence
N 89° 39' 40" E to the east line of said Lot 5;
thence southerly along said east line and south-
erly extension 322.27 feet to a point on the east
line of said Lot 6; thence S 89° 39' 40" W to the
True Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING the south 62 feet thereof. ALSO
EXCEPTING the east 45 feet thereof, along with
that 'portion that lies within the right of way of
Stine Road.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 24th day of February, 1970, by
the following vote:
