AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MIJNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE WEST SIDE OF HUGHES LANE, 208.71 FEET
SOUTH OF WHITE LANE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~,.,ission and City Council have held
hearings respe-ctively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
west side of Hughes Lane, 208.71 feet south of White Lane; and
WtIEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the ].and use zoning of certain 'property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and umde a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from a C-2 (Commercial)
Zone to a C-2-MH (Commercial - Mobile Home Park) Zone,
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield
located on the west side of Hughes Lane, 208.71 feet
south of White Lane, being more particularly described
as follows:
Parcel 1: The south 204.29 feet of the followin~ '
described land: That port.~on of the north 413 feet
measured from the south line of White Lane which
lies 30 feet from the center line of Lots 21 and 22
in Section 13, T30S, R27E, M.D.M., in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
as per Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands of
J. B. Haggin filed May 3, 1889, Kern County Records,
lying easterly of the irrigation canal traversing
said lots, as said canal existed on February 21,
1933, EXCEPTING the easterly 30 feet lying within
the right of way of Hughes Lane.
Parcel 2: That portion of Lots 23 and 24 in Section
13, T30S, R27E, M.D.M. in the County of Kern, State
of California, as per Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of
Lands of J. B. Haggin, recorded May 3, 1889, Kern
County Records, described as follows: Beginning at the
southeast corner of said Lot 24;
thence (1) along the south line of said Lot 24,
N 89° 18' 33" W, 76.71 feet;
thence (2) N 14° 22' 45" W, 68.52 feet;
thence (3) N 10° 36' 35" W, 540.96 feet;
thence (4) from a tangent which bears N 8° 16' 16"
W, northerly along a curve concave easterly with a radius
of 340 feet through an angle of 30° 57' 55", an arc
distance of 183.75 feet;
thence (5) along a non-tangent line, S 89° 17' 39"
E, 178.56 feet to the east line of said Lot 23;
thence (6) along the east line of Lots 23 and 24,
S 0° 36' 07" W, 776.97 feet to the 'point of beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day of January, 1970, by
the following vote:
