AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BELLE TERRACE AND
SOUTH "H" STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
Southeast corner of Belle Terrace and South "H" Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(Single Family Dwelling) Zone to a C-1-D
(Limited Commercial - Architectural Design)
Zone, of that certain property in the City
of Bakersfield located on the southeast corner
of Belle Terrace and South "H" Street, being
more particularly described as follows:
· That portion of Lot 39 as shown on the Kern
County Sales Map #1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin,
which lies northwesterly of canal, as said canal
is shown on map of Tract No. 1163, recorded
December 26, 1940, in Map Book 5, Pages 21
and 22, in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of April, 1970,
by the following vote:
