AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 3.18 BY
ADDING SECTION 3.18.095.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 3.18 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield is amended to include the following section:
3.18.095 Incentive Pay. An additional five per cent (5.0%)
in salary will be granted to all safety employees possessing either
an Intermediate or Advanced certificate or both, issued by the
Police Officers Standards and Training Commission (P.O.S.T.).
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
from and after its adoption by the City Council and shall take
retroactive effect July 1, 1970.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 15th day of June, 1970, by the
following vote:
