AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 1500 PACHECO ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 1500 Pacheco Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a
zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Mmp) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(Single Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-MH-D
(Two Family Dwelling-Mobile Home Park-Architectural
Design), or more restrictive, Zone, affecting that
certain property in the City of Bakersfield co~,only
known as 1500 Pacheco Road, being more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of the W~. of the S~ of Lot 16,
Section 18, T30S, R28E, M.D.M., in the
County of Kern, State of California, as said
lot is shown on "Kern County Sales Mmp No. 1
of Lands of J. B. Haggin", filed in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County,
California, on May 3, 1889, described below.
For the purpose of this description, the
west and south lines of said Lot 16 are
taken to be coincidental with the west and
south lines of said Section 18:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said
Section 18; thence N 00 00' 26" W, along
the west line of said Section, 624.20 feet
to the south line of that easement conveyed
to Pacific Gas and Electric Company in deed
recorded February 24, 1948, in Book 1511,
Page 48 of Qfficial Records of Kern County;
thence S 82v 46' 56" E, along said south line
736.24 feet to the east line of the W~ of the
S~ of said Lot 16; thence S 00° 00' 14" E to
the south line of said Section 18; thence along
said south line of Section 18 to the point of
beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way for streets.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of July, 1970, by
the following vote:
