AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE
ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED WEST OF
STINE ROAD AND STINE CANAL BETWEEN
BELLE TERRACE AND MING AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located west
of Stine Road and Stine Canal between Belle Terrace and Ming Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Co~uission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-2-D
(Two Family Dwelling-Architectural Design)
Zone to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family
Dwelling-Architectural Design), or more
restrictive, Zone, affecting that certain
property in the City of Bakersfield located
west of Stine Road and Stine Canal between
Belle Terrace and Ming Avenue, being more
particularly described as follows:
To an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural
Design), or more rest.rictive~ Zone:
That portion of the east 1540 + feet of the south
359.04 feet of the north 1019.~4 feet of the south-
west quarter of Section 2, T.30 S., R.27 E., M.D.B.M.,
that lies westerly of the westerly right-of-way line
of the Stine Canal, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the parcel
described above; thence westerly and parallel with
Belle Terrace, a distance of 596.62 feet; thence
at right angle northerly.359.04 feet; thence at
right angle easterly to intersect the westerly
right-of-way line of Stine Canal; thence south-
westerly along said right-of-way line to the point
of beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of September, 1970,
by the following vote:
